As the LORD leads you can join me in being an ambassador for Christ in fellowship. Would your congregation be surprised to know that nearly half of all the times worship is mentioned in Scripture that it is referring to "false worship?" The LORD has given us the tools in His Word to understand what it means to Him and what it means to man when He is worshipped both correctly and incorrectly... Yes, it's a sobering thought that your worship could be in vain, lacking both substance and worth to GOD or you. Father, Your will be done in this ministry, that Your heart for us might be made known, and that servants might be stirred toward fellowship, with You and with one another by worshipping in Spirit and in Truth, for it is servants like these that You are seeking, amen. (John 4:23)
When you choose to be an Ambassador for Christ (number three of the Ten Commandments - thou shalt not take the LORD's name in vain), your stewardship of prayer, time, money, talents, loving like Jesus, and sharing GOD's Word becomes more than a goal, more than a priority, it becomes a quality of who we are in Christ. The “I got this,” see you on Sunday Jesus kind of mentality, heart, or relationship is no longer sufficient. Your hunger is deeper; your thirst becomes greater for more of Him and less of you. In the Gospel of John 13:35 Jesus says, "your love for one another will prove to the world that you are My disciples." Here’s the "whoa!" sticker shock question; would a jury of your family, friends, and acquaintances find you guilty of being a Christian today, right now? Is your love proving that you are a disciple of Christ? If not, then perhaps it's time to commit to understanding what GOD's love is (agape) and what it means to practically live it out.
GOD bless you, beloved. You are in my prayers, but more importantly understand you are in two very important hands; the hands of Jesus Christ and the hands of His Father. We learn this also from the Gospel of John 10:27-30 when Jesus says "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father's hand. I and the Father are one.”
